BEAUMES DE VENISE

The commune of Beaumes-de-Venise is the birthplace of two emblematic Crus, each with its own identity and unique history:

- BEAUMES DE VENISE Red

Cru since 2005, it covers 600 hectares across four communes: Beaumes-de-Venise, La Roque-Alric, Suzette, and Lafare.

Main grape varieties: Grenache and Syrah

Maximum yield: 38 hectoliters per hectare.

Clay-limestone soils, subdivided into three types:

Oxfordian marls (silt, sand, clay).

Upper Cretaceous white soils.

Soils from the Triassic period.



- MUSCAT DE BEAUMES DE VENISE

Natural sweet wine elevated to Cru status since 1945, it spans 500 hectares distributed between the communes of Beaumes-de-Venise and Aubignan.

Grape varieties: Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains or Muscat Rouge à Petits Grains.

Maximum yield: 30 hectoliters per hectare.

Soils: clay-limestone and Miocene saffron sands.
