EMILIE, AOC Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, VDN Red, 2025

A true delight !

Presentation

Presentation
A cherished indulgence of our great-grandmother Emilie, we chose to preserve a few vines to bring this unique and exceptionally rare wine back to life.
The red version of the famous Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, this natural sweet wine is made exclusively from the rare Muscat Petit Grain Rouge grape variety.
The vintage
The summer was marked by significant heat waves and a prolonged drought. This accelerated the ripening of the grapes. The berries were often smaller in size, a consequence of the heat and water stress, which led to higher concentration and reduced yield at pressing.
Summary:
– Very strong reduction in yields, with small, low-juice, and light berries.
– Heterogeneous ripening, with rapid sugar development and loss of acidity.
– Very early start of the harvest.
