Alain, AOC Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, Blanc, 2025

Utterly refined!

Presentation

Presentation
"A naturally sweet wine with aromatic qualities and a very fresh mouthfeel, dedicated to our grandfather Alain Ignace, who has been passionate about Muscat de Beaumes for 60 years."
The vintage
The summer was marked by significant heat waves and a prolonged drought. This accelerated the ripening of the grapes. The berries were often smaller in size, a consequence of the heat and water stress, which led to higher concentration and reduced yield at pressing.
Summary:
– Very strong reduction in yields, with small, low-juice, and light berries.
– Heterogeneous ripening, with rapid sugar development and loss of acidity.
– Very early start of the harvest.
